The Empurata of Shockwave

As recommended in "Continuum - An IDW Transformers Reading", we were given the order in which to read IDW's Transformers comics in a way that would better suit the complexity of the storylines.  Over the last while I had gone back myself to try this and have re-read / read for the first time the multiple lines of these issues.  

Now, never having done this with any other comic line, or if it's even possible (if anyone knows of a series I would like to hear of it), I had no idea how it would work but in the end I couldn't believe how well it did; the characters interactions between each other are even better, the stories still flowed, and the timelines made more sense.  Time well wasted in my opinion.

In my reading of these issues, I came across the transformation of who we know as Shockwave today.  I thought that I would revisit that today and maybe share it for those that have not read the comics yet.

Call Me Ruination or Baldigus…Just Don't Call Me Late To The Fight!

This is all started with a name…..Ruination. Hook, line and sinker. They had me.  Okay, so it is basically Bruticus but that doesn't matter to me.  Anything with a name like that I had to have!  Before you think that's a weird way to buy something, take some time to consider how we as a society have been conditioned to buy products based on looks, names, or colours alone and then it starts to make some sense.

Just a completely sexy looking box! It has everything that I love the most when looking at packages:

• I prefer figures that come in boxes
• I don't understand any of the writing on it (it just tends to lend a little bit of mystery and fascination to the piece)
• Fantastic artwork,
• It's from Japan thus making it a rarer piece for us living in North America.

Continuum - An IDW Transformers Reading

For us who have already started, and for those who have not yet opened themselves to the fantastic new world of the IDW Transformers comics, I post this as a consideration on how to relive again, or start anew your love and appreciation for some old and new found characters.  (Thank you Maz for your inspiring post on the "Power of Fiction").

I've been a comic reader for as long as I can remember., mind you within that span of time, my interests have waned in and out.  I can't remember how or what made me initially pick

G2 Jazz

Thought I would take a little step back, 21 years to be exact, to 1992 to check out not only a fan favourite figure, but one of my favourite G2 figures....Jazz.  I picked this guy up last year on eBay for a really good price of $62.

My friend "M" has made the comment to me a few times that he believes G2 figures will really be increasing in price.  They are currently so downplayed by many people but they're still essentially G1 figures with some minor retooling.  They already are pretty expensive (ever try to buy a G2 dinbot, especially the silver ones)?

Though I don't care for all of the figures from this line, but the ones I do like I think are great.
