Prehistory Animal #2 Triceratops

In continuing from my previous post, here's Part 2 : Prehistory Animal #2 Triceratops.

Although this figure is a KO, it really deserves to be reviewed (and owned) since we're talking about a very obscure gem of the 80's……..."Prehistory Animal Triceratops.

In the "bootleg" universe, it's not always about cheap quality and lame gimmicks.  Every now and then there are figures which should rank up among the best, thus becoming extremely rare and highly collectible.  And why not I ask you?  Some unofficial toys should rank way

Prehistory Animal vs Ancient Animal #1 Tyuannosaurus - Part 1

Chalk up another one to the KO category.

I know that there are those of you out there on either ends of the spectrum; you either absolutely love KO's, or you that absolutely hate them.  Listen....I get it.  There can be a whole variety of factors that go into this:
  • quality control issues (though this does affect a lot of the newer figures as well)
  • money; either you don't have enough money for the "legitimate" versions so you buy the KO, or money is of no concern and you don't bother with the fakes
  • the direction of your collection; you only want to have G1's, or maybe you want to have all the different versions of the same character you can get your hands on

Whatever the case may be, as long as you're part of the TF collecting family then that's

How I Learned to Stop Worrying About Money.....And Just Buy Masterpieces

I really should stop blaming the purchase of these pieces on Maz.....even though I do it jokingly.  In reality, I have no one to blame but myself.  It's taken me some time to come to terms with buying these guys.  I was certainly given enough time to think on this since I had to wait for Smokescreen to finally come in, that as well as with these items being preordered together.

Latest lot
In the end, I really had to decide whether or not I was ever going to grab what I thought

New Package Arrival from TF Source

This big box came from TF Source yesterday, and it was UTR…….a term my friend and I have affectionately coined when packages arrive.

ARGH!!  Canada Post leaves something like this on my porch?!?!
I can never say enough about how this completely boggles my mind!  My number one complaint

G1 Hasbro Shockwave, Radio Shack Galactic Man, WST JustiToys Military Operation Commander, Transformable Robot Pistol TG-117

In light of my previous post, and partially due to coincidence, this post will be a smorgasbord of different Shockwaves.  I had deliberated about dividing each one into its own posting but in the end, I think it would just feel a bit redundant.

The Empurata of Shockwave

As recommended in "Continuum - An IDW Transformers Reading", we were given the order in which to read IDW's Transformers comics in a way that would better suit the complexity of the storylines.  Over the last while I had gone back myself to try this and have re-read / read for the first time the multiple lines of these issues.

Now, never having done this with any other comic line, or if it's even possible (if anyone knows of a series I would like to hear of it), I had no idea how it would work but in the end I couldn't believe how well it did; the characters interactions between each other are even better, the stories still flowed, and the timelines made more sense.  Time well wasted in my opinion.

In my reading of these issues, I came across the transformation of who we know as Shockwave today.  I thought that I would revisit that today and maybe share it for those that have not read the comics yet.

Camera Robo MC-05 MICROX (c.1983) Micro Change Series (MIB)

Here's one more piece from "M's" collection.  I took this one at the same time I did the      MC-20 Micro Scope back in December and I finally had the time to put it out now.  This was a $199 "Buy It Now" purchase from eBay.  Again, as I've stated in the past, I only put out the prices to try and help people to calculate how much to pay for items.  I never say that I always pay the best prices because soemtimes you come across rare pieces or maybe its the final piece that you need to complete a portion of your collection so you end up paying more.  It is what it is.

So here is Camera Robo MC-05 MICROX.

Microx transformed from a camera to three robots, called Micro Winder, Micro Finder and

Gobots Puzzler - Part 2 Extra Pics (Complete)

Another visit today to my friend "M's" house today ended up with another photo shoot.  I have already done a post on the Gobots Puzzler here back in Dec 2013, but I thought that I would take these extra pics and post them since "M" picked this set up complete while mine is loose.  This will mainly just be a photo post since I have already done a detailed info one earlier.

Simpler than Transformers artwork….but still effective.

My Transformers Year In Review

So....it's 2:08am right now and I'm sure that by the time I finish this post it's going to be much later than that.  I haven't done a post for 10 days now but thats just due to the time of the year.....doesn't mean that it hasn't bothered me not writing one up though.

It's really early in the morning and I was just watching the latest post from the AVGN (Angry Video Game Nerd) who was not only updating everyone on the status of his movie production, but on how his whole year has been.....and lets face it...this is the time of the year that we ALL think back on what we have done this year.  I'm not going to get into details on my personal life because that's not what this blog is about, but obviously I will go back on what happened Transformers-wise…..at least in my little world anyway.

So here it is....my Transformers Year In Review.
